The Word of God is known as the Sword of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 6:17). In the Shachah Sword Dance, every step of the Sword Sequences is executed to a rhythmic cadence of scripture. Spiritual warfare is the theme of this sword dance.

The Sword Dance starts with the worshiper holding a retractable sword in the right hand, and then at a specific word of the scripture, she extends her sword to it’s full length.

“For My sword shall be bathed in heaven. Indeed it shall come down on Edom, and on the people of My curse for judgment!”
